It was another two days past before the group would go back to the town, Soth included. When the group had gone to the town, they heard a fanfare of music being played in the town square. The four clans had gathered, a large arena pit being the center of the town. "Our first match today is the Goliath, of Clan Baha, versus a newcomer for the Kincaid clan!" Announced the Clan leader for the Rudolf clan. In the pit, there was a large man covered in leather armor, wearing gauntlets that had blades on the fingers. "I'M GONNA GOUGE YOUR EYES OUT AND FEED THEM TO A PARROT!" He screamed, before charging at his opponent. The opponent was covered in a dark cloak that conceal his appearance very well, and he used a short sword made from iron and bronze. Tobias smiled, watching the fight from above and desperately wanting to join in.

Simon watches with a little interest and the cloaked man, wondering what he has up his sleeves against someone that was bigger and stronger then him.

"Sub-par weapon, but a sword of any quality can be devastating in the hands of a master." Erik said. "Watch their techniques more than the fight itself Simon. If you know what to look for, you can tell who will win long before it actually happens."

"That's what I'm trying to tell..." Simon says while focusing on the fight. "Cause this doesn't seem like a typical fight..." He says while putting his hand on his chin, his eyes getting a glint in them that Erik knew was Simon focusing on every detail of what's going to happen.

The fight started with the Goliath's punches being slashed to the side by the robed man's sword, who then made attempts to mount the larger man. "GET OFF ME, SUB-HUMAN!" The Goliath thrashed his body about, slamming the robed person into the wall a few times. The man in the robe dropped his sword, the blade sticking into the ground. Eventually, after throwing his back onto the ground, the Goliath got the robed man off of his back. The robed man lay broken, bleeding from his back as the Goliath reveled in his victory.

Simon thinks for a bit, feeling like that was a tad too easy for the Goliath. "Hmm...sure a Goliath could win but still...that seemed way too simple and easy." Simon says and frowning.

Across the arena stands, a young girl spotted Simon, smiling. She went back to hiding amongst the crowd after sending over a smoke ring shaped like a heart.

Simon looked up and saw a random heart shaped smoke ring. "Uh...why is that there?" He asks either Iris or Tobias, wondering why the heart is there.

Iris noticed it, eyes squinting at it. "It doesn't matter, Simon. As long as we can get out of here sooner." The young woman, who was now moving across the stands, chuckled to herself along the way. She whispered prayers to herself, rubbing a charm for her God's favor.

"Alright." He says with a little shrug. "But why do I have a feeling someone's going to be popping up soon?"

"Darling, it's only fear that drives you." The young woman said, arriving behind Simon. "Fear is good, fear keeps you alive. I am Thalia, daughter to Psyche, Goddess of Wisdom."

"And just like that I'm somehow psychic." Simon thinks to himself. "Hello Thalia, I'm Simon. Were you the one that blew that smoke?"

"Quite did." Thalia replied. "Now, Darling, it is my duty to help you on this journey of yours. I know this because it wouldn't be wise not to. Did you enjoy the spectacle down there? I hear that Goliath is the strongest person in this town."

"I thought that the fight seemed a little too simple and straight forward and...mind if I ask why you just blow a cloudy heart in this direction?" He asks, not sure if it's supposed to be a joke or something.

"No reason." Thalia said, winking to Simon. "Listen, we need to get going if we're ever gonna get to that Fountain." "We're not leaving smokey." Tobias said. "Not yet. You smell off."

Simon gave a look that told her he wasn't buying her crap. "How about you tell us a bit about yourself without just openly saying 'oh hi, I'm so and so now let's get going'." Simon frowns. "If your really the daughter of the goddess of wisdom that's quite a hole in your logic there."

"Told you. My name is Thalia, daughter of the Goddess of Wisdom." Thalia began. "I know how to read a lot of minds - real easy to do when everyone around is is near stupid - and know many of the trade routes that can get us to cities faster than trusting your own noses and maps for guidance."

"Well that something." Simon says with a little nod. "But still, there are reasons to be cautious." Simon says, trying not to just buy all her talk in an instant. "What do you two think?" He asks Tobias and Iris honestly.

Erik wrapped an arm around her, his other hand resting on her side. "I have a spring-loaded blade aimed at your kidneys, which means if I twitch you'll die in so much pain you won't be able to scream. I have a number of questions I'd love answered, but not here." He whispered into her ear. "Let's go somewhere quieter guys, there's a lot of noise here and the conversation we're about to have I don't want overheard." He said, before whispering into her ear. "If I feel as though we're being followed, I'm going to kill you. Then I'm going to kill whoever is following us, and after that I'll track down anyone associated with you and kill them too."

"Wait Erik, remember the little 'message' we got?" Simon asks, remembering by heart the message so if she's not lying they can't, or shouldn't, kill her. "But yes, let's go somewhere a little quieter."

Iris sighed, doing a hand motion for the group to head off. Thalia moved along the same pace as Erik, making sure she wouldn't be stabbed by his hidden blade.

Erik moved calmly, a smile plastered on his face as he stuck close to Thalia. Once they were alone he slammed her into the wall, one hand pressing her head against the wall as the other pulled a knife out of one of his many hidden sheaths. "Now, I'm going to ask you a number of questions. I want them answered, in order. And then, I'll decide whether or not I'm going to cut your throat and leave you to die. First, how do you know who we are? Second, what is your intention of making contact with us? And third, if you were to come across a man in the desert who asked for but a drink of water in exchange for telling you where to find some treasure would you give him yours?"

Simon could only watch as this happened, knowing that if he tried to stop Erik from this kind of stuff then he would probably have a knife pointed at him.

"I saw your group around the tavern before the mob showed up." Thalia replied, standing in perfect composure. "I contacted you for two reasons: For immortality so that I may be with my mother, and because my love is part of this group, the one you call Simon. As for the third question, I would question why exactly he would tell me the location of treasure just for giving him a drink of water."

Erik let go of her, putting his knife away. "A dying man promises many things. But take this promise from a very healthy man: If you become a hindrance, I'll kill you and leave you in a ditch." Erik turned to Iris and Tobias. "It's up to you, if you want to let her come then she can come. But my vote is no, we have enough people and issues."

"Wait what?" Simon asks, blushing a little at just hearing her say 'my love' and his name in the same sentence. "I'm going to be questioning that later." He mutters with a frown before thinking about what she said she had to offer and considering the pros and cons about having her around.

"It will be safer for us to have a larger group." Iris replied, grabbing Thalia's shoulder. "But, if you betray us, I will blow you to smithereens myself."

Tobias scoffed, smirking towards his friend. "I don't care if she comes; that just means we have a higher chance of getting to the Fountain." He looked towards the town, his smirk becoming a grimacing look. "However, I will say this: We need to get towards the East. The only way to reach there, if I'm correct, is Harper's Ferry; however, to get there we have to go through the Nahdra Forest."

"Yes that is true." Simon sighs out, which reading up way before knowing the forest can be a pain.
