"Can...I stay with you for a while?" Glimmer asks. "I...really don't have anywhere else to go in all honesty."
Crusher couldn't help but blush a bit more as he said, "Certainly!"
(The reason why he's so eager to accept her is that he had no companions when he left the city. That means that for almost a year-and-a-half he's wandered alone, and after so much time social interaction feels amazing.)
"In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, atonement."
— Final litany of the Litany of Sacrifice, recited by Krieg Korpsmen when entering battle.
(And since Glimmer literally has nowhere else to go she's perfectly fine with this)
"Thank you."
(The burdens of old haunts my every waking moment, no matter how small or old...every time I look at someone and see the woes of the people I take it upon myself to correct it and make the woe my own...but when I find my family and friends in front of me...I know that the darkness of woes can be crushed by the light of a new and happy day.)
(The woes...always haunt the living until death...the woes...always cry blue....)

The Rhino blushed further as he kept walking with the pony, thinking about what the future could hold.

Glimmer was simply following along, noting his blushing and wondering if he did actually like her or if it was just a long time of being with a person.

The rhinoceros kept the pony close, braving the snow like it was nothing until they eventually reached another cave mouth. "This is where I have settled for the time being." Crusher stated.

The snowstorm was starting to become a blizzard as Crusher led Starlight into the cave.
The gray stone that made up the walls and ceiling was smooth, and the dirt here was dryer than the previous caves. However, it was more like a burrow since it ended about twenty feet away at a solid, rounded wall. Several objects rested there, including a pillow, blanket, books, tools and materials for a fire, food, and a very peculiar object that seemed to shine.
"In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, atonement."

Crusher wore a friendly smile as he said, "It is always good to help those who need it."

"Come, I'm going to start a fire." Crusher replied, walking toward the fire pit while keeping Starlight close to him.

As Crusher brought the unicorn forward, the strange glowing object began to seem more distinct in terms of shape. It was clearly a weapon; a rifle of sorts with lines of yellow and orange going up to the barrel. The energy seemed to move, almost like a fluid of sorts; even like a gel. The rest of the weapon was as black as coal, and the whole thing was very streamlined in appearance.

"What's that weapon looking thing?" She asks pointing to the strange looking object and thinking it was a weapon because of what he explained.

"A light rifle." Crusher replied as the two reached the fire pit.

"Alright." Glimmer nods. "Does it actually use light?"

"Alright." Glimmer nods. "Does it actually use light?"
"In a way. It combines superheated plasma that is mixed with light energy, creating a deadly mixture capable of cutting through over twenty feet of mountain rock like tissue paper."

Crusher noticed this and asked, "Why are you afraid? I will not use it against you, and it has sophisticated security systems that ensure that nobody else can."

"That's understandable." Crusher replied softly as he finally let go of Glimmer and got on one knee, observing the fire pit before grabbing a tool and throwing some material into the pit.

The tool that Crusher wielded didn't look like a lighter, more like a strange blowtorch. It was round with a tube sticking out, and it had a trigger as well. Curiously enough, there were four switches on it with small labels under them; were they different settings? The first button was navy blue, the second dark red, the third steel gray, and the fourth pure black. Crusher pressed down the first switch and pulled the trigger, which caused a small flame to come out of the end of the tube and light the fire pit.

"What's that do?" Glimmer asks. "I mean...I see that it causes a fire to start but...what about the other colored buttons?"

"What's that do?" Glimmer asks. "I mean...I see that it causes a fire to start but...what about the other colored buttons?"
Crusher pointed to the red one and said, "This button increases the force with which the fire is thrown, turning this into a makeshift flamethrower of sorts." He then pointed to the gray one. "The gray switch activates an internal sensor and a trigger that basically turns this into a firebomb. As soon as you throw it the sensor activates, and when it passes over hostile forces it explodes, setting them afire. The last button turns the fire black as pitch, though it still has a white core; literal black fire is impossible to make. At this point the fire will melt virtually anything." Crusher followed up by saying, "I was part of my nation's special forces and managed to keep some of my tools, this being one of them."

"Well..." Glimmer mutters a bit, not believing that.

Crusher smiled a bit and said, "The Light Rifle is also from my Special Forces days."

Crusher sat down on a large rock before turning his flamer off and putting it away. He looked at the fire before him as it 'danced' as all fire did, waving and whisking around as it fought against the cold of its home.

Lepking13: I didn't much like TF2 when I played it, so that's one thing I'm probably not going to get back into.

Paladin: It's probably best if you didn't. They added a competitive mode that only allows six players per team that, from the vids I've seen, are always 2 Soldiers, 2 Scouts, a Demo, and a Medic.
Jun 25, 2017 10:20:38 GMT -6
Paladin: Plus, the MVM mode is tainted with players who will try to force you to use certain load outs that fit their playstyle. Community servers are the better option, and even then those are starting to die out.

Paladin: I'm surprise YouTubers like MrPaladin, Funke, and Muselk, for example, can still make money off of playing the game.
Jun 25, 2017 10:24:14 GMT -6
Lepking13: If they have a sufficient fanbase that grew when the game was getting huge, that'll last them a short while longer.

Paladin: I'd try Overwatch but I know that it's slowly becoming just as much of a meme as TF2 did become. Hell, we could try Elder Scrolls Online. It's no longer monthly subscription.

Lepking13: I've got Overwatch, and the biggest problem is having no one to play with while having fun.

Lepking13: At this point, I might try ESO. One of my friends from my DND group said Black Desert Online was pretty okay

Paladin: The game was web browser based and was okay for what it was, but lost funding because a lot of the fans gave up due to them being unaware of how the game was supposed to work.

Lepking13: well, you have me on Steam. That'll probably be the best way to contact me.
