Lord Barington hummed a tun mentally, knowing he'd be killed by his new friend had he made any musical noise. "Alright, aunty. What's the first thing you need to know?"
The General nodded to his soldiers, the latter allowing the bipedal being to enter the castle. "If you'll allow me to escort you." said the general. Ezreal walked over to a bed, and plopped down onto it completely exhausted from today's events.

Vlad's dream had him stomping along the mloon's surface, practically dancing on it and had him giggling like a small child whenever the dust began to swirl.

"I don't know yet. I just need some help taking care of him." Celestia said.
"Please bring the device I put on the ground. And I'm the guest here. I just need to speak with Celestia." He said, holding his hands together behind his back.

The general nodded, using his magic to pick up the staff. "If you'll follow me.." he said, as he began to lead the bipedal being up to Celestia's room, keeping an eye on him.

He walked calmly behind the guard, his eyes not wandering as he walked.

When they reached the door, the General knocked gently. "Princess Celestia? I've a visitor for you, ma'am." he said.

Celestia turned to the door, a frown on her muzzle. "I am not expecting anyone, so who could it be?" She mumbled quietly, opening the door with her magic.
"Hello ma'am, my name is Caine. I've come to warn you about a kidnapping and assassination plot regarding your child." Caine said, bowing.
"What proof do you have for these allegations?" Celestia asked, her horn glowing.
"I wad hired to do them." He said, slamming into the opposite wall as soon as the words left his mouth.

The general was shocked, using the staff in his magical grip to pin the person against the wall. "Stay down! What do you mean about this kidnap and assassination plot?" he asked, as the rest of the guards surrounded them.

"A plan to take your child and kill him." Caine said, holding his empty hands up in surrender.
"We know what they are, start explain why." Celestia said, pressing her horn against his throat.
"I'm a mercenary in the Griffonian empire. I specialize in kidnappings and long range removals. And stop doing that with my rifle, the gem settings are fragile." He said, pushing his weapon away from him.
"So why are you here?" Celestia asked, confused about why he would approach them and tell them his intent.
"I have my own code of ethics. I won't take newborns or young children." Caine said. "When i found out the target wasn't even born yet i came straight here to warn you."

"And why does the Griffonian Empire want the Prince killed?" asked the general, glaring at Caine. "And best you tell us the truth, you're surrounded and you've angered a god." Historium began whimpering, hearing so many noises almost waking him up.

"I don't ask why, it's party of why I'm so requested. I don't personally get involved in the political forum." Caine said. "Three nobles pooled together their money to hire me. That should tell you how valuable my services are."
"I'm not hearing a reason we shouldn't arrest you and throw you in the dungeon." Celestia said.
"I'm not the only one they hired, and the others don't care about hurting kids." Caine said.

"Princess, should we incarcerate this man? Further more, how should we go about protecting Prince Historium?" said the general, looking to Celestia as Historium woke up from his hour nap, started to whine some more.

"He hasn't technically done anything illegal, and only an idiot informs his enemy of his intent." Celestia said, turning and trotting to Historium. "How well do you know these others?"
"Enough that i can kill them before your kid is in danger." Caine said.
"Are you suggesting we hire you to protect him, after telling us you were hired to take him?" Celestia said, picking Historium up with her wings.
"No, the Griffins already paid me. I'll do it for free." Caine said. "You don't have to worry about me taking your kid, I've got one at home and i know how dangerous it is to upset a protective parent."

Historium put his wing around one of his mother's feather, grabbing it as if he wanted to be closer to her. "Your majesty, can we trust this man?" asked the general, keeping his attention on his boss.

"No, we cannot. We'll probably have to anyways." Celestia said, pulling Historium against her chest before setting him on her back. "You said rifle. What's a rifle?" "I cannot reveal that information. I am the only one that knows how it works, and I'm the only one that will ever know. If you attempt to take it apart, it'll self destruct and take out a large part of the city." Caine said, looking at the thing the general was holding. "That's why I told you to be careful with it. The self-destruct can't tell the difference between being handled roughly and being taken apart." "That is a very dangerous deadman switch." Celestia said.

The general handed back the rifle, saying, "Alright...just don't blow up the city..." He turned back to Celestia, before a letter appeared from the ceiling, gently floating to Celestia, followed by a wine and cheese basket. The letter read as follows: Dear Celestia,It has come to my attention that you've had a foal. I'll send a gift basket as quickly as possible, but that'll wait. I wish to negotiate peace between our kingdoms, and possibly a friendship that'll last for ever. I'm sending my top ambassador, who's bringing the gift basket.Yours truly, Queen Chrysalis.

"I've had this thing for awhile, I know how to handle it." Caine said. "Prepare for a diplomat from the Changelings. Apparently they want peace now." Celestia said, reading the note. "And take him to one of the guest rooms. Now." She said, nodding her head to Caine.

The general nodded, nudging Caine and taking him to the nearest guest room, two floors down onto the main floor. Historium looked up at his mother, smiling and giggling when he saw her flowing mane. He reached a hoof up, wanting to feel it.

Celestia smiled, leaning her head back so Historium could play with her mane. When she'd first gotten it she was much the same way, although it disappointed her that it felt like any other mane. Whenever it got wet it sagged, and running your hoof through it split it apart like any other mane. Caine settled comfortably in the bed, his rifle leaning against the wall.

Historium wove his hand through Celestia's mane, giggling at how soft it felt to him. Across the room, landing on the balcony, was Luna. "Sister, I've something to discuss with you. I've heard of the... events that happened. And there's something else. Going through the minds of our guests, they wish to be free, soon."

(Hand? You mean hoof.) Celestia smiled at her son's giggles, happy that he was happy. "It has not been that long, but they are allowed to walk through the gardens so long as there is a guard within sight."

"I've been reading their minds. They wish to enter the library, to learn about our history and culture." said Luna, smiling at how her nephew was acting. "I've also received word that there's another ambassador arriving with the Changeling Ambassador. A Diamond Dog Ambassador is arriving, to speak for the Five Houses of Diamodinia."

"And what of the Diamond Dog ambassadors? Should we greet them with welcome hooves, or request they return another time?" Luna asked, watching as Historium hugged his mother's neck gently.

"I won't be able to deal with them both right now, but that doesn't make it right to turn them away." Celestia sighed. "If the Diamond Dog ambassador does not mind waiting, I will deal with them after the changelings."

"Very well then. That gives us a buffer of time to deal with our current guests." Celestia said, smiling as she watched Historium. "For now, tell the guards they're allowed outside but cannot leave the castle grounds. Any and all weapons or artifacts they have must be left in the castle."

Historium continued zooming around the room, flying into his mother's bed and landing on the blanket. He sat there, looking at his mother with a smile on his face. Luna nodded, before telling the guards what she was told. Then, she trotted to the arrivals' rooms, opening the door. "You're allowed to leave your room, but you may not leave the Castle grounds. However, you're only allowed to access the gardens. Is that understood?" she said to the guests. "Yes, Lulu dear, it's understood." said Lord Barington, drinking some tea.
