Seluka stayed awake, sitting around the Warrens as msot other Hybrids slept. Sawtooth stayed awake as well, staying near Seluka. He finally decided to talk. "So, how are you?"

Seluka made no response, just sitting in her seat. "Are you alright?" Sawtooth asked.

"It's....one of those feelings I suppose." He says with a little chuckle. "But since you picked me...I suppose I can try to learn a lot more about you." 'I'm sure you will. And I will learn about you. I hope I don't regret this decision,' she said.

"I'll try my best to not make you regret it." He says with a warm smile. "I just hope she doesn't hate the poor..." He thinks to himself a little.

Throughout that night, Emperor Decem grew suspicious of Isaac. "Lord Isaac, where do you hail from?" That was the first question to escape Decem's mouth, sitting on his throne as he ate a large leg of mutton.

"And here we go." Isaac mentally sighs out sadly. "Well...I'm from Peyri. I'm a little less known than the other nobles but I'm still a noble." Isaac says with a nod, being completely serious and looking around a little with his peripheral vision and thanked the gods that the other noble isn't there.

"My coat of arms?" He asks honestly with a bit of thought. "Well...I'm not the best at explaining but it is a picture of a tiger curled up around a group of baby tigers in a normal noble seal. It's to show how the strong will protect the weak, like a parent would it's own children...that make sense?"

'Where do you live? A manor? A castle? What's it like?'

"I find the outdoors to be my manor." He says with a shrug. "I know it sounds weird for a noble to be speaking of the outdoors like it's more impressive then this entire castle, but sometimes sitting under a tree on a nice day can do wonders for a person." He says with a smile.

"Is that a bad thing?" Isaac says worriedly. "I'm sorry if that's a bad thing...." He says while looking down, thinking the princess hates the view he has on the matter.

(It's alright bro, good night) "Oh thank the gods." He mentally sighs out. "Really? Is it refreshing to see a different kind of noble or talking about nature? Cause either or I would be glad to know." Isaac smiles, glad the princess is okay with him talking about nature.

The next day was a public event. Everyone in the city was inside one building, the largest arena in the country. There, Emperor Decem rose and greeted his people. "Good day to you all! Today is the Mrie day, the day where we all relax and enjoy shows bestowed to us! Today, the first event is a fight between the Hybrids!" The large crowd, Hybrids being secluded to one section of the arena, cheered loudly with joy, others with a drunken stupor; gates rose and the Hybrid fighters were released. One of them was Seluka, the Third Leader of the Hybrids. Her friend had been in the seating area, forced to stay there due to guards keeping the Hybrids in their seats.

"Are you kidding me!?!" Isaac mentally shouts, not believing that they literally enjoy seeing hybrids try to kill each other. "What are the terms to this fight your highness?" Isaac asks, hoping to god it's not what he thinks it is.

One of them was Seluka, the Third Leader of the Hybrids. Her friend had been in the seating area, forced to stay there due to guards keeping the Hybrids in their seats. Sawtooth barely kept himself from snorting; this disgusted him. Of course the Edenians didn't want to get their hands dirty in a duel, so they released those they saw as expendable to fight to the death. It angered him, for events like this lacked any sort of honor or dignity. It was a brutal, yet ultimately pointless scuffle that was being performed for meager entertainment. There was no pride, no glory, no sense of duty; it was blood for the sake of blood. Sawtooth remembered when there were gladiatorial duels; those were truly dignified. They were one-one-one battles, with both fighters more than willing to give their lives for their honor and dignity. It was a beautiful thing, really; actual gladiatorial fights were truly amazing. He had even fought in several duels and won each of them before. This? This was absolutely heinous, lacking in anything even slightly illustrious. Sawtooth could already see some of the more panicked fighters scrambling around, desperate to escape the colosseum and live another day. They were easily picked off by their competitors; it was a bloodbath without reason.

Nearby Sawtooth was a young boy, a Hybrid of course. He was one whom saw Seluka as a mother, caring dearly for her. The boy was no more than five years of age, and he clenched his paws tightly in fear of losing his "mother". "They fight until they are incapable, whenever one limb is crippled and out of use. We throw in citizens that aren't the Hybrids, but those who're thrown in there, the Edenians set forth to fight each other, deserve death." Emperor Decem said, eating some Payinia grapes from a bowl of copper. "This year, the Hybrids were invited. Most years, we keep it exclusive to Edenian fighters only."

"Alright." Isaac nods. "Sorry just...not used to these kinds of events." He says sheepishly. "Well...it's better then I thought." He mentally shrugs to himself.

Sawtooth breathed out of his nose. He knew that the fighters thrown into these types of fights tended to be brutal, but he believed Seluka was more than capable. Not everybody was capable of knocking him out cold in a few minutes when Sawtooth grew indignant and someone actually decided to fight him.
