"Have anywhere else in mind?" Stein asks. "We really don't care if we just wander around. As long as we get our barrings here." Mu says with a shrug.

Out near the city outskirts of Canterlot, a man was climbing up the Canterlot Mountain, along with his friend, Thomas. "Thomas, I think we've almost made it to the top!" said the man, keeping his grip on the rock.

"Finally." Thomas says happily. "No mountain is great enough for us." He cheers softly as to not cause a possible rock slide, continuing up with a strong grip on the rocks.

"Can't wait to get home, after this... eat some pork-buns Gretta likes to make..." said the man, Jackson. He kept a strong grip on the ledge, pulling himself up and resting on the plateau.

"I can't wait for the pork-buns." Thomas says happily, getting up and sitting next to Jackson on the plateau. "How long have we been climbing this mountain? It feel's like days since we started." He says, before seeing a mountain goat literally walking up the mountain. "Um...is that normal?" He asks, pointing to the goat that is walking at an impossible angle. (One, there on a mountain, two physics decided to say 'screw it' on this planet, and just because it had to happen)

"Yeah..." said Jackson, resting on the small cliff that the mountain provided. "We've been climbing for about... three, no, two days, now. Out of food... we only have water." He opened his canteen, drinking some water from it. After finishing, he said, "Check your canteen, see if there's any more water in there."

He checked his canteen and saw at least a quarter of it was left. "There's only a bit left, about a fourth of it left. Jeez this mountain is huge...a lot larger than we normally do that's for sure." He frowns before taking a quick sip of his and capping it quickly. "Let's hope someone sees us...I don't think we can last another day...as well as the weird weather up here...it's supposed to be cold as can be this high but it still feel's like it's mid summer..." He frowns a little.

"Well then, let's plant a flag here..." said Jackson, opening his back pack and pulling out an extendable flag.

"Yeah..." He agrees while helping out in trying to get some help.

"Don't worry, with our cables, we'll be able to jump down slowly." Jackson stuck the flag into the mountain, declaring that that's where they had to stop. "Are you ready?"

"Alright." Thomas says with a nod, starting to get the cables ready. "Let's hope it was as safe a journey up as it was down."

"Down as it were up, Thomas!" said Jackson, securing his cable already and jumping off the cliff.

Jackson made it to the ground, nearly, before his cable stopped him and pulled him to the side of the mountain. "There we go!" he said through a groan of pain, taking his cable off and yanking it down.

"Whee!" He calls out while swinging around and stopping near the ground, taking off his cable and yanking it all the way down. "That was fun."

"Alright then." He says while putting his own cable away. "Let's get some pork buns." (Who are these people again? As in..like ponies or griffins or something?)

As the two men walked through the town, they were greeted by others as normal; richer ponies would sometimes neglect them entirely, while others, such as Fancypants, would greet them with kind words.

As the two men walked through the town, they were greeted by others as normal; richer ponies would sometimes neglect them entirely, while others, such as Fancypants, would greet them with kind words. Thomas was just strolling along happily, glad to be in a nice city where he has some people treat him like another...even though he would love to teach the richer people a thing or two sometimes.

"Come on, Thomas, don't be like Gretta; you know how much she doesn't like a lot of these Equestrians." said Jackson (Fun fact: In Mythology, Griffons look down upon Horses.)

"She doesn't like the rich and pompous people around here." Thomas says. "And I'm just either returning kindness with kindness. I'm not thinking of hurting people or anything." He shrugs. (Didn't know that)

"It's good to see you too, Jackson." Gretta said, going over and giving him a hug. "Are you boys hungry? I was going to make dinner, soon." Thomas hugged Gretta back, loving the griffins hugs more than her wonderful pork buns. "Yes we are. Thanks Gretta...and do you know why a mountain goat could walk up the side of a steep mountain with no trouble while we have to climb it?" He asks honestly, wondering if she might know something.

"No, I don't know. But I do know that you're lonely, Thomas." said Gretta, going to the kitchen and beginning to make some pork buns. "You know, I could set you up with a friend of mine; but, she's a bit... well, rough."

"You know, I could set you up with a friend of mine; but, she's a bit... well, rough." "Yes that is true..." Thomas frowns, sagging his shoulders and giving a little sad tone unlike his happy and cheery one near others. "But you know me Gretta, you wouldn't recommend someone to me, whether the be as gentle as a leaf or as tough as a drunken minotaur, if you didn't think I couldnt handle it. Is that true?" He asks honestly, given an honest smile towards the griffin.
