Rose nodded, and readied herself for the first set of cards. "I hope there is some ink and paper nearby for game counting. That would make things easier."

"There isn't, but we'll only get to do two or three games. The trip to New Canterlot is exceptionally fast." Rush said.
A few minutes go by before another pegasus drops out of the sky, giving Storm an odd look before going up to the mare. "I'm here to relieve you of duty Sergeant." He said, giving her a salute. "Anything to report?" "Nothing that needs mention. This finishes my duty shift too, so you know where I'll be." She said, pulling the metal rod off her waist and handing it to the new pegasus. "Yes, down at the bistro. I'll swing by and return the stun-rod after you finish up your little date." The stallion said with a sigh. "You know the job isn't intended for making the cute ones come with you, right? We aren't going to have another complaint show up because of you Breeze?" "Of course not, this one is legit. He doesn't know city flight regs." Breeze said, moving over towards Storm. "So, before any more questions are asked lets get going. It isn't too far." She said, dragging him up into the sky before dropping down to the streets. She quickly turns her jacket inside out, the markings denoting her job disappearing. She quickly pulled Storm along the street, into a building just a few blocks down. The building interior was warm and gently lit, going for the gentle lighting instead of the stark artificial light that so many places went for. Breeze pulled Storm over to a booth near the door, setting him down and taking the spot opposite him. "Alright then, quick questions. What do you do, and why have you come to visit New Canterlot?" She asked.

"Should I tell her about Autumn?" Storm thinks to himself, gulping and trying to think about what to talk about. "I'd rather not say. It's personal business." Storm says to the mare. "I'm sorry but I never asked for your name." Storm says sheepishly, finding that little thing a bit bad on his part that he didn't even ask for the mares name before just now.

Rose nodded and sat quietly as cards were dealt to her. She drummed her fingers in her lap, wondering what she was supposed to do next.

"I never offered it either, but it's Sea Breeze. So...you work for one of the families, or something bigger?" Breeze asked. "Nevermind, prying ends up with ponies at the bottom of a ditch. Why were you flying in the city without knowing the rules?"
"So, Specialist. What's got you heading to New Canterlot?" Rush asked, setting the deck on the table before picking up his own cards.

"My names Storm Rider...and mostly just so I could fly and see the city...if only the racing lights were something more noticeable then looking like the city's normal lights then that would have been wonderful." Storm grumbles. "But being outside and flying is a bit better then being in a club to be perfectly honest." He shrugs.

"Visiting before I get sent up North with another Specialist." Rose replied, picking up the cards in front of her and sorting them highest to lowest as she understood.

"I guess for someone that doesn't know the city they blend right in, but they're the only lights allowed on the rooftops." Breeze said. "I wholeheartedly agree too, the night air is much better than the fog and smoke they fill the clubs with. I enjoy being able to hear myself think."
"Oh, a bit of downtime before you get sent for training?" Rise asked. "It's to get their affairs in order. You hear horror stories about Northern Operations, and those are the good ones." Rush said, slapping his cards down. "Hot bullshit, not a damn thing."

"Yeah, always nice to be able to just hear the wind and your thoughts." Storm smiles. "But it's a little weird that those lights are the only ones allowed...kind of thought they would be more...out of place to show people that there's something going on." He says, knowing that he wouldn't have mistaken lights that seemed out of place.

Rose looked at her cards, wondering if they were good for the game. "I thought about moving there before I joined. Long before joining." Rose spoke meekly, keeping her eyes down. Rose placed her cards face down, and said, "Fold, nothing good."

[Fuck it, I've been trying to think of a way to continue this but I've driven it into a boring and meandering corner. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FILLED WITH SPECIAL OPS, SECRET ORGANIZATIONS WORKING AGAINST EACH OTHER TO FULFILL THEIR OWN PLANS, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ALL: EXPLOSIONS!As such, I hereby TIME SKIP PAST THIS FROU FROU JUNK and straight to the fun. Also, that underlined part is a hyperlink. You really ought to click it.]

(Alrighty, going to boot you two in right after Storm and Rose finish their secondary 'basic' training for their powers and are about to receive their first deployment job. Storm's got moderate control over electricity and lightning, as well as that Flash Step that temporarily turns him into lightning. Rose's powers bend more to stealth and tracking, being able to detect the heartbeats of other creatures. As well, she can create a noise-dead-zone around her making her a perfect stealth operative, as well as as the ability to temporarily shift into a formless wind much like Storm's Flash Step. Two days of downtime in the far frozen Northern Operations Bunker before your job finalizes. It's been about eight months since the last actual posts.) "I'll get the resources you need and set about dealing with transportation logistics. Is there anything specific you would like to request for your equipment? You've already gotten clearance for thirty pounds of heavy detonation compound, ten flash crystals each, eight explosive crystals each, and the latest versions of the spell rifles with four clips." The stallion in plain white asked, double checking over the equipment list.

"A tactical knife would be appreciated." Rose replied, hands on her hips. "Other than that, something smaller than a rifle, if that's possible. The closest thing to a rifle I've ever used was a crossbow when I was a kid." Her eyes shifted to the stallion in plain white. She knew she'd use the rifle eventually, but didn't feel the need to use it for close quarters combat.

Storm tightened his gloves and thought for a moment. "Can I get an expandable metal baton?" Storm asks, knowing he's been training with his powers to shove through his fists but wanting to be on the safe side and have a weapon that wasn't just his fists. "First real mission huh? Wonder what it'll be?" Storm thinks to himself, already wondering if it'll be a simple matter or if it'll be difficult. "Actually, screw wondering. It's going to be difficult anyways." The pegasi mentally shrugs, knowing full well through his training that things are going to be difficult whether he likes it or not.

"I will pass along your requests, and see about getting you something else Adeptus." The stallion replied. "Your equipment will be available tomorrow at about noon in the primary armory to begin properly affiliating yourself with the gear you will have, as well as your new uniforms. Congratulations on finishing the training, we're all relying on you and yours." The stallion finished noting down the requests Storm and Rose had, snapping the two of them a salute before he turned and walked off. "Well, you've got two days to get those pre-op jitters out of you. You two are going in ahead of an Equinox deployment to deal with the major threats." Major Stormy Skies spoke up from behind the two. "If you'll follow me, I just received the mission details." She walked past them, holding up a black envelope with a red seal.

Rose followed carefully, not lagging behind the Major but also not sticking to them like molasses. She thought about her first mission, how exciting it was yet terrifying it could become. They'll find out, she thought.

Storm nodded and followed after the Major, wanting to know more about the mission details.
